QuickTime Movies
These animated drawings address the nature of the drawing process itself using a combination of a traditional stop-motion technique and digital technology to create a high/low tech series of short pieces. They begin with a blank sheet of paper and the development of a drawing is recorded from the initial potential of the blank page to the marks that transform it. It therefore becomes in turn an image, a narrative and an humourous inquiry into the virtual space of film.
The intention is that these be projected onto paper (slightly scrunched to lift off the wall) and taped to a wall in normal lighting conditions, so that they are simultaneously objects, drawings and animations.
